KOLA Design was founded by Alexander Kolar, a UK based Architectural Designer, Visualiser, Tutor and Draughtsman. Offering a wide range of services from measured building surveys, early stage design expertise, planning submission drawings and visualisation, KOLA Design is able to bring your ideas to life.

Ethos

My design ethos focuses on two core principles; simplicity & materiality. Beautiful, functional design comes from simplicity. All projects start from a clear and focused concept. In tandem, celebrating the qualities of materials, from how they affect our mood, to how they can reflect the unique identify of a place, is an important part of every design project.

Experience

As founder I have a wider variety of experience working for some of the world's top architecture firms. At Allies & Morrison I developed an understanding for residential architecture, utilising Revit to produce planning packages. At Zaha Hadid Architects I worked with algorithmic design work-flows to produce formal concepts quickly. Currently I am enjoying working for Lineworks Architects on bespoke housing projects in and around London.
